6105 Noisy at high speed with 24v jumper

I have never been able to use the 24 volt jumper at high speed without both of the PH chattering. They are cleaned regularly (every 6 months). They barely produce any sound at low speeds but when they go from 30% to 100% they have a chattering pulse sound that is very loud.

They both are barely audible at high speed with the 18v jumper. What could be the cause of the noise, maybe a bent shaft and the extra power of the 24v jumper causes it to chatter?

I purchased them from JL Aquatics in November of 2011.

I did not receive the 24v jumpers with the pumps when I purchased them so to be honest It wasn't until mid of last year that I tried them since I had three Tunze pumps in my tank. I still had a working old style one running so I left the two 6105 with the 18v jumper. But when I did swap the jumpers both pumps chattered at high speeds and I just put back the 18v, which ran fine.

Since I posted this thread I took another close look at the PH since it was time for another cleaning. Even though I give them a diluted vinegar bath each cleaning I noticed today at the very bottom of the block where the propeller sits a thin layer of calcium deposit around the bottom. I spent an hour pouring a little vinegar at full strength into the block and it eventually dissolved or broke up the deposits on the bottom.

Put it all back together with the 24v jumper and it's much quieter now. I guess this is something I will have to do with each cleaning or when they start to get loud.
