6105 old pumps with new power units

Hello,

I have 3 6105 (the old ones) with power units that have 24v and 15v jumpers.

Two power units had a problem and the local distributor changed them with the new ones that have 18v and 12v jumpers.

Is there any problem if I put the 24v (old) jumper in the new power unit?

Thank for the quick answer Roger.

I did it that way and after a 3-4 hours of normal operation, the pump stopped and restarted several times at irregular intervals of 2-10 sec.
After that, pump stopped completely and then I saw smoke from the power unit and after 2 seconds, the small box with the potensiometer toasted.:eek1:

It could be the power supply was bad or got wet or the connector with the potentiometer got wet or the pump is jammed from lime or sand deposits so it used more power than the power supply could deliver. I would contact the dealer or Tunze in Germany, if nothing got wet it will be under warranty.

Hello again,

Is it possible to order only the small box with the potentiometer?
I did a search in the spare parts and saw that it is with the motor block part (6105.100) and it' s too expensive because I need 3 of them.

It is not available as a seperate part. Did they get wet? It can be arranged probably but it is possible that if this got wet the motor will be destroyed even if this is replaced. Normally you would send them to the factory and they would try to replace them, if it cannot be repaired they would contact you.
