6105 two propeller housings

Tony B (UK)

Important cool title
I note my 6105 has two propeller housings, one narrow and one wide.

What effects will each have on flow?

Am I right to speculate that the wide flow will have reduced reach; meaning the flow will not travel as far down my 9ft tank?

I will of course play with each housing to experience first hand what effects each housing has..... Once I get time off work!

Correct, the narrow housing can reach 7ft at 24V, the flow will be about 2ft wide, the wider housing will reach about 5ft but be nearly 3ft wide.

I have two older 6105's before the wide flow housing came with them, where can I order/aquire the update/upgrade?

Thanks,
PW

Recieved the wide flow housings and they are pretty sweet, as I run a pair of 6105's with the 18v jumpers on my 120 they do make a huge difference.

Thanks!

What have you noticed? Details please

I run them both on a 7095 with I think its sequence 2. One is at 30% while the other pulses 30-80% every few seconds. Than after 4 hrs, it switches.

With the wideflow I can run 80% max, as opposed to 60% max with the narrow, without causing a sand storm (I use a very fine sand).

As a side bonus its also made a 18" x 20" monti-cap start cupping instead of taking over the whole tank as I had feared.
