I have a couple 6105 powerheads that are running great. My only issue is they click quite loudly when starting up. Could you tell me the parts that wear out I should replace in the powerhead.
How old is the pump and what type of controller? There are a few possible causes but all with either be drive unit or controller related and the drive units changed over the years so it would be important to know what you are starting with.
make sure you have the little round plastic things that go on the magnet both sides of the glass.
all my tunze pumps make the clicking noise when starting up from Zero, those plastics lower the noise. [its basically the pump forcing water out, and hitting the glass behind it as the result.]
That is correct as well, the silence clamps used since late 2010 also help considerably. They will all make some click but a lot can be done to reduce it.
