6125 running reverse

I am having some problems with my 6125s starting in reverse. i have them on a simple timer to that turns them on/off twice a day to alternate flow. They run for 6 hours at a time each then alternate. I will take them out for a cleaning and see if it helps. Just seeing in you have any suggestions.

I would guess either the propellers are broken or the cross hatch in the front cover is broken or the shaft has some calcium deposits. When they spin backwards the drive unit will come forward and the propeller will hit a cross in the front cover, stop, fall back and spin the right way. Anything that prevents it from coming forward or hitting will cause this problem.

Cleaned them up and it seems to have fixed the issue. There was no hard deposit just gunk and slime. The tips of the props are worn but not gone (just the last mm or so looks like it is gone). I also switched up the timers so they turn on/off every 6 hours instead of 3 to cut back on the number of restarts they have to do.

If you start to have problems again, let me know, they should be able to handle 3 hours. Cleaning them every 3-6months is critical though.
