6200 sputter and stop

I have a pair of 6200s that I've had running on a 6901 controller in alternating mode.

After recently having them powered off for a bit during maintenance one of them isn't running.

I have pulled the impeller to ensure everything was seated properly. After plugging back in it runs for a bit then start to sputter then it stops completely.

If I reseat the impeller the same thing happens every time. Any ideas?

My guess would be one of the following:

O ring 3000.612 is missing or is installed above bearing 3000.610 rather than below.

The rotor is stuck to the bearing by calcium build up.

The magnet rotor is cracked.

The motor has some electrical damage.

I would first follow the cleaning thread at the top of the forum and make sure everything is clean and properly installed.

It has nothing to do with the propeller assembly since I have swapped it in and out with my other 6200 with no issues.

When plugged in I can hear a slight electrical hum from the pump, although the prop does not turn.

They have an alarm that should go off if they are stuck. It is hard to say what it could be. I would send it in.

it's actually a 6201, with the newer drive unit and a red power knob on the part where the controller plugs into.

My other 6201 has a white knob where the controller plugs into.

It isn't relevant, but an older 6201 could have an internal defect, there isn't much to diagnose on the 6201's they are much simpler, if they don't work, it has to be the motor.
