6201 for Australia

Hi,

I'm considering bidding on a new stream 6201 on Ebay. The seller is located in the USA, which of course use 110v, but the seller assures me that this pump will work with Australia's 240v. Looking at the item description it does say: 110v-240v/60hz-50hz. Does this mean that the same transformer works with these two different power supplies? Or does it mean that the seller needs to select a specific 6201 with the appropriate transformer for the customer?

This is a lot of money to pay for something that I would like to make sure works. I don't want to get burnt.

You would just need a plug cable from the transformer to the Aussie mains

Keep in mind though that you will have no real recourse on warranty- pay shipping to and from America if it breaks or pay Tunze Australia to repair it. I don't recommend it.
