6205 Intake Screens

I was wondering if I could get a price for 2 6205 intake screens. I heard they will work on 6105's and provide wider flow. Thanks in advance !

Yes they will fit and have a wider outlet, but you do compromise reach for flow diameter, expect to lose about 2ft of reach and gain 1ft of width. They are $43.12, I am out of stock until later this month, the factory has been closed the last couple weeks so nothing has been shipping.

Sounds good Ill keep in contact. Do you not recommend this ? They would be going on a 48"x24"x29" SPS dom tank.

It is expensive and I don't believe it is necessary, on a tank this size I would run the pumps with the 12 or 15V jumper and position the pumps so the flow is deflected off the front glass. I think you reach a point were the flow is too diffuse to be effective at detritus removal. If the oceans had such diffuse currents, divers wouldn't need sea sleds and wouldn't get so tired. I think the Stream as is is a fairly faithful replication of flow conditions, I would only make this mod for certain LPS and soft corals that come from lower flow areas, SPS will certainly adapt and benefit from a stronger flow.
