6212 Wave Box Noise

I have a 6212 Wavebox that has an audible vibration noise when it pulses on and off. Have since taken it i apart and cleaned the pump inside but didn't take out the inside (bearing) ? It still has this audible vibration noise. Not sure if there is anything else I can do or not or if anyone knows what is going on with the stream inside. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Chris

This would likely have more to do with the mounting of the box then the pump. Do you have it mounted with the magnets or clamps?

I have it mounted with the magnets. I have a large and a small one. The small one attached to the top and the large one on the bottom. One of the magnets does not have the rubber nubs on it. The wavebox was silent other then the air sound for about a month and has made this vibratng noise for about two weeks now. It is more of a moaning noise actually.

Thanks, Chris

I would check that the blue sponge ring is on the back of the motor and the motor is in a sideways orientation so the cord comes out of the motor nearest the notch where it exits the box. The rubber bumpons on the inside magnet portion will also help.

I do know the motor is not in sideways. The wavebox is used and the foam ring is warn out and I have ordered it. When I took it apart I put the motor in side ways but kept on getting the warning sound off the unit. It stopped when I put it back in how it would sit if it was a stream. It also did have the moaning vibration sounds before I took it apart. I will try and play with it tonight to see if anything works.

Thanks, Chris

Sideways orientation reduces the contact with the bottom plate as the slimmer profile is near the plate, it will reduce the noise.
