Hi,

A few months out of warranty my 6101 has stopped working ... lights up but doesn't spin. Seems to be a bad motor block.

Can I run the 6260.10 motor from the Wavebox as a temporary replacement for the the 6101 motor block?

Tone :)

Tonyf, have you try to clean the pump out? Please check out the sticky above and try to clean your pump to see if it going to help.

Ta, Jar*head ... I have cleaned it, not working; I have replaced the impeller, not working. The LED comes on at the transformer end.

Cleaned it again, turned it on, nothing, and watched the LED fade off.

I'm not confident that the Tunze rep in Australia has the know-how to undertake repairs like Rodger can.

What about temporarily running the 6260.10 motor block from the wavebox on the 7095 controller, until I can get the 6101 sorted.

Buying a new block is prohibitively expensive for such a relatively new piece of equipment :( There's a recession going on.

Thanks, Tone :)

The 6101 has been out for just about 18 months, which means it is still under warranty. They have a 2 year warranty. If it is a 6100 it could be out of warranty. I would contact AquaDepot as they are the distributor for Australia and should be able to take care of it.

^ I haven't the 'paperwork' for it, things get lost. We've been through this with Aquadepot before, they won't undertake any warranty service without the paperwork.

You can use the 6260 but please install the 6100 drive unit before putting it into continuous service. The transformer cannot handle the load of the bigger prop continuously.

Running the 6260.01 on the 7095 controller ... Jeeez! that is a VERY powerful pump!! Blowing the sand bed up on the otherside of my 10'ter.
