Hello,
Per the title, I am planning an anemone tank and wanted to get some feed back from you guys.
Tank
As stated, tank is a 65g AGA RR tank w/ 20g sump.
Lighting
Lighting will be 2x175 13k Aqualinebulbs w/ IceCap ballasts
Water Flow
Flow currently is 11x via a maxijet and the return pump, turnover is roughly 18x when you include the skimmer.
Misc
Tank has a DSB ranging from 5-6" and roughly 50lbs of live rock.
It currently has a number of corals that I am trying to get rid. I have given a lot of the coral away, so I will probably sell the remaining corals for store credit.
The tank has been running for a year and a month or two. Ph has been steady, almost always 8.2, fluctuation over the past year, post cycle has been 8-8.2. Ca = 400 +/-20ppm and kH almost always 8d-9d. After the cycle, Am, nA and nI levels have never been detected. Salinity is 1.025, tank temp in the winter months is 78-79F, during the summer, the tank is 80-81F.
Old water change regiment was 2x per month at 8% total volume, new regiment is 4x per month at 8% total volume.
Stocking Plans
Pair Amph. Ocellaris (already in tank)
1x Sal. Fac. aka Lawn Mower Blenny (already in tank)
1x Lysmata Wud. aka Skunk Cleaner shrimp (already in tank)
2x Mithrax sp. (already in tank)
1x Astrae Snail (already in tank)
...to be added...
1x Red BTA
1x Green BTA
1x Six Line Wrasse
1x chalk bass or royal gramma
2-3x Nassarious Vibex
1-2x Astrae Snails
Questions
Is the flow okay as is or do I need to add some more flow in the display? If yes, how much?
Are any of the fish or inverts I've listed known to be incompatable w/ BTAs?
I have chosen two BTAs for the two different colors, should I instead only keep one?
Aside from that, please feel free to post suggestions and ideas about my plan.
Thanks for taking the time to look.
