As for artistic idea's I was going to have the drain at the front of the tank, have the pipe bend 90 to the back of the tank and then 90 up to the top.
Paint this black with "caution raw sewage" painted in bright yellow on it for a "natural look.
Simply not enough time to properly try and solve the temp range issues (75 - 88 in a single day). Can't blame the little guy - I've been asked to supply both my jewelry and landscape/flower photography to a gallery that's opening May 1. Plus a growing portrait photography business in addition to my "real" day job.
Everything went back into the 125g and I'll try to restart it in October when the temp should be more stable.
I like the "raw sewage" idea. You could use clear acrylic for the pipe and after a few months it should have that film that'll add to the effect.
