7091 and a tunze 6101

I just got back from a few days away. and noticed that my tunze was not on. I switched the unit off and waited for about 30 seconds and switched it back on again. It made a high pitched screeching noise and both lights were lit up, after about 15 seconds it seemed to be working fne, but the pump light was not on and the pump was not working. I would be grateful for any assistrance. BTW. everything except the pump is dry!!

Did you take the drive unit out and check for any obstructions? It sounds like something may be in the pump- hence the screeching sound. Is it a 6101 or a 6100, this is an important difference.

hum, dont i feel stupid!! there was a snail wedged in there. I couldnt see it untill i took the unit out and removed the screen. thanks
