So I emailed Tunze support about my 7095 controller not working correctly, the moonlight and photo cell that comes standard with the unit does not work. I have followed the instructions, and talked to a few other people who have them and still will not work.

So I emailed them on Oct 14,and wrote the following:

Hi,

I have a 7095 Controller, and the moon light and night phase appear not to work on my controller. I have read the manual and have turned my lights off so the whole room is dark, and still no moon light, with the option lit, as well as night mode, does not appear to cut the pumps down in half.

Im running 2 - 6101's with the 7095 controller, sensor is mounted as instructed,

Please advise.

I then get a response back from Regina Stelzer from Tunze

Dear customer,

i transfer your email to our technical department to help you soon.

Kind regards
Regina Stelzer

I had not heard back from anyone, so I replyed back to Regina on Oct 18, attempting to find any help, still to day I have not heard back from ANYONE at Tunze. For being a first time customer, especially spending this kind of cash on their product you would think they would have better customer support

have you spoken with roger.... here at tunze forum?
if not he is the man to deal with. if its under warranty they will take care of you.

You wrote to the offices in Germany, they have only a handful of very skilled technicians and they have plenty to do in overseeing manufacturing. They will write back but they are not always prompt.

This is where you come for tech support.

The nightmode options only stops pulsing, for nightmode the pump stays on whatever the bottom speed knobs are set at on each channel, so if that is set at 100%, night mode is 100% but without pulsing. The moonlight can be very dim depending on what lunar mode it is in. Please double check this, the moonlight indicator light should be on on the controller and in total darkness the LED will come on for 28 out of 29 days and for many of the days it is extremely dim as it follows a complete lunar simulation.

Thanks for the info Rodger. I'm 100% that the moon led does not work. I will have to double check the nightmode feature, from the documentation I was under the impression that it would cut in half the operating speed. so if it was at 100%, it would be cut to approx 50%

During the day the pumps will pulse back and forth between the top and bottom knobs on each channel and at night it stays at the bottom knob settings. They pretest these at the factory so it is very odd that it would not work, usually the moonlight LED only fails if it is submerged for an extended time and water corrodes the connections.

Roger -

Night mode works, thank you for clearing that part up. So the only thing that does not work is the moon led, I have turned both tunze's off so it reset's the "moon" calendar, and so far can not make it work. I took a picture and can post a little later, after I resize it. has had no contact with water.

Thank you for your near instant response's and help!

Roger -

Thank you! I soldered the cable in place of the old one, and all seems to be working great! Thanks again for all of your help! Truely customer oriented! More companies need to have more people like you!
