7095 Controller

Just purchased a 7095 controller along w/ a couple of 6xxx streams. I'm having troubles getting night mode to engage automatically. I set to pulse, engage night mode, and the pumps won't power down automatically as stated in the instructions. Any advise is welcomed.

Thanks!

make sure the little sensor on the moon light module is exposed to your tank lighing... it should set your pumps in night mode when the sensor is in the dark

Is the correct side up? Night mode does not automatically make the pumps go slower, they switch to whatever the second power setting is (lower knobs of channel 1 and 2) The photocell has to have the side with the photovoltaic cell up and the wires should point down. Ambient light from the room may also interfere, you should try covering it with your hands.

Ahhh, didn't know that they revert to the lower knob settings. They are currently cranked up to full power. I'll make the change...stay tuned.

Well, the lower settings for night mode (lower dials) didn't engage in night mode, I'll try switching to the top dials.

I'm still confused though (happens regularly), if I have only one controller 7095 and two pumps (one connected to channel one and the other connected to channel two) aren't the other dials rendered useless? I would think they actually control the empty interface on the controller itself?

No, the pump switches back and forth between the top and bottom knobs on each channel at the number of seconds you chose for pulse. For night mode to work the photocell has to be aimed up, be in relatively complete darkness and the led for night mode illuminated on the control panel.
