Lovely piece of machinery.

Do the blue boxes need to be turned up to 100% or does the controller override this? I had them turned down since last Thursday since I was in between controllers.

Also - no way to add a second moonlight? It would be nice, since most tanks with controllers are quite large. I know that some people get carried away with moonlights, but lots of 8" tanks could use one on each end.

Yes, the pumps have to be at 100%. Their is no way to add a second Moonlight we considered it but it would be a complete computer and seperate Moonlight and would sell for $70 and we thought no one woulld buy it. If you get the angle of the light correct and mount it on the side of the tank it should be plenty of light for 7ft by 30" by 30".

I would have paid it. ;-)

The light is surprisingly strong, it casts a ripple upon the rock and ceiling - it is very cool. One is fine, especially considering I had none before, but two LED lights would be perfect.

Roger,

Is it OK to have the pump turned down on the blue box or will I damage the pump, I have one 6000 on my tank and 1 6100. The 6000 I have on full but I had to turn the 6100 down due to the sand storm it was creating. It seems to be working fine on my new 7095 (great waves :) ) but I want to make sure. Also, is there any setback to using short interval settings on 6000 and 6100 pump models in terms of pump life? Thanks

The manual states that not having the driver at full power when using a controller can damage both the pump and controller and voids the warranty. If the flow is too much you need to downsize your transformer. Short intervals should not harm the pumps.

Thanks Roger... Adjustment made. I just got the controller yesterday and wanted to make sure that everything was setup properly... I really appreciate the prompt response.

Fliger,
Thanks for allowing me to hijack your thread and I agree with you... "It is a lovely piece of equipment"

The 7094 is gone, you can't get one anymore. Download the Interzoo 2004 PDF on the bottom left of the Tunze home page.
