7095 Moon Light / Night Mode Sensor Problem

I received my 7095 with 2 x 6055s 2 days ago. Hooked it all up. Everything is working great except for the Night Mode / Moon Light.

The Night Mode and Moon Light settings are turned on, and the sensor / moon light definately should be getting enough light. But the night mode or moon light never turns off or on.

Hopefully I'm just doing something wrong, but maybe it's a bad unit?

Even if I shine a flash light directly on the sensor it never turns off.

I`ve got the same issues with mine. With the moon light on, the pumps are not slowing down. Hope we can get some help.

Paul.

I think you have to turn the two knops on the bottom to the lowest in order for the night function to work.

I just tried that, no good.

I'm still guessing it's a bad sensor.

HI,
Night mode works on all progs as far as mine goes.
I had to replace my sensor/moonlight, suggest you do not go into the controller but with power off cut the old cable and solder or get someone else to solder the new one on. I think there was only 5 connections. dont forget to insulate/tape each wire.
Over here they are a stock spare item and not that expensive considering it is Tun ze.
Luck

The pumps do not turn off, all night mode does is stop the pulsing and drop the pumps to whatever the bottom knobs on each channel are set to for the duration of the night. If nightmode and moonlight are both on, the moonlight should come on as well. It is very rare for one to fail unless it was underwater for an extended time, usually it is just a misconception as to what it does. Again, the pumps do not turn off, only the pulsing stops. It stays set at the bottom knob of the channel for the duration of the night. If that is 100% the pump stays at 100%.

Hey Roger,

Thanks for getting back. I understand how the sensor is supposed to work. Maybe I mis typed that the pumps turn off... I meant they drop down to whatever the bottom knobs are set to.

Regardless... the controller never comes out of night mode and I assure you the sensor never got wet and it's well under the light.

Please advise. Thank you!

Do you have pulse turned to off? If it is turned all the way clockwise it is off, try setting it to the middle. The other possibility is the photocell is upside down, the little photovoltaic plate should face up, the wires inside should face down. Sometimes it is also necessary to basically "reboot", just unplug the pumps from the wall, double check that all connections are firm and plug the pumps back in.

Just return it to me. I handle all repairs myself, we don't use RMA numbers.

Roger, is there any way we can do some sort of advanced RMA? I'm out 2 pumps until they get fixed? I don't mind giving you a CC for collateral.

Why are you out two pumps? The pumps work just fine without the controller, you can even slow them down by setting the drivers potentiometer. I only need the controller and the turnaround would be quite fast.
