7095 Not Working

Roger
I hope you can help me, I have two tunze pumps, I believe 6100 or 6050 running on the 7095 controller. I got home last night and the lights were off on the controller. Turned the power off several times and the controller starts up but after a few seconds all the lights start to blink and the nothing. I unplugged everything and plugeed them all back in and still nothing. Any ideas on whats not working?

Do the pumps work on there own, when not connected to the controller? If not the pumps are dead and therefore, not powering the controller. Please double check which models you have, there is no 6050, I assume you mean 6055?

Thanks for the quick response. I will check on the model number, i have had them for some time. So i can plug the pumps directly into the drive box?

Rich

I don't follow you, the motors should be connected to the drivers and transformers, all you will disconnect is the controller. The controllers are entirely optional, the pumps can run with no controller but require the driver and transformers which came with the pumps. You would unplug the 5 PIN DIN cable at the driver box, this is the cable that goes to the controller.

I unplug the controller from the driver box, one pump works the other doesn't, would one bad pump make the controller shut off. I tried to see what size pump it is but the label is warn off. I do remember it being the smallest of the controllable pumps, what would be the new model number. Thanks again for your help.

Rich

Sounds like a 6000, try the controller with the one known working pump. A single bad pump can cause the controller to not work or work erratically.

6105 replaced both the 6000 and 6100, it has a switchable power supply, at 12V it equals the old 6000 and 18V it equals the 6100. Actually in each setting it does about 200gph more than the old pumps, but it is the current equivalent.

I have one pump hooked to controller and all seems good. Is it possible the pump is just jambed up and needs a good cleaning?

Yes, that is a good place to start, if that doesn't solve it, it could be an electronic problem.

Roger
I gave the pump a good cleaning but its still does not work, do you think its worth send in for repair and if so how to i go about that. Thanks agian for your help with this. I installed the new 6105 and WOW, what a difference.

Rich

Worst case, if we cannot repair it, you would be able to get a discounted 6105 upgrade, so yes it is worth sending in.
