7095 problem

Hi Roger,
I have 2 6000 and 2 6100 pumps hooked up to a 7095 controller. In the past few days the light for the rightmost pump on channel 2 goes out and the pump stops. I have tried jiggling the cable but it doesn't seem to help. It does come back on some random time later but then goes out again. If I switch pumps it happens with that one as well so it looks like the controller. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ken

If it is the controller I have spare boards in stock so it isn't an issue, down time will be minimal. It would have to come in as some soldering is required. I would double check the result of switching the cables.

I switched the pumps again and it caused the light on the controller to go out and the pump to stop working. So the behavior is the same with both a 6000 and 6100. Cycling though the modes brought it back online. If I disconnect all the pumps to send the controller in the pumps will just run continuously right? I can turn them down with the potentiometer on the driver?

Thanks,
Ken

That is correct.

Ok, thanks for the quick response Roger. Top notch. I might wait and see if when it happens next time that cycling through the modes fixes it. I would probably be able to live with that rather than disconnect everything (unless it gets worse). How much soldering is involved?

Four wires for the LED/photocell must be soldered as that doesn't come with the board. The main problem is the wires are the size of a needle in diameter.

I was hoping that was all it was. I'm the one that had the burnt out photocell. You sent me one and let me do the soldering. Any chance I could just have you send me the board and I would solder on the photocell?

Thanks,
Ken
