7095 vs 7096

Hi all, So I've been controlling my 6105s with my apex for quite some time now. However the programming functions are plentiful but somewhat confusing and I'm looking for another option. Something that isn't too confusing to setup and adjust when needed. The one thing I don't like is that apex doesn't have any preset programming options for this power head. But that is a topic for a different forum.

My question I've been looking at the 7095 and the 7096 and I'm curious why the 7096 is $100 cheaper than the 7095 when it is a newer model. Is there a reason why the newer controller is cheaper than the older one?

The 7096 is a lot larger, and includes its own dials/controls and LED status lights. The 7095 is totally programmable by itself and is a standalone controller. The 7096 requires a USB connection to a computer to program, after that it is on its own. To change anything on it, you need to reconnect to a computer(save for the feed button).

The 7096 does have a few more features in its programmability, as well as being able to specify feed time. It is also much smaller.
