7096 and OSX Lion

Roger,
Do the 7096 controllers work with OSX Lion or will we need an update? I am trying to program the 7096 and have loaded the driver out of the zip package and loaded the aquarium app but all I get is "no interface detected".

I've even done a restart in case the driver hadn't loaded.

I do not know the answer other than there is an apple version. Did you use the CD or did you download from Tunze site?

I used the download, I also updated the FTDiChip driver from ftdichip.com to the 64-bit version which is a little newer than the latest one packed with the 7096 program from Tunze. This is the VCP driver 2.2.16, where what's packaged is 2.2.14.. but neither works. I have found threads about other folks having problems with OSX Lion and Arduino units using the same FTDi Chips drivers.

I hooked the 7096 to my mac running snow leopard and it works well, so it must be something with OSX Lion on my Macbook.

Got it with a reboot after loading v 2.2.16 from ftdichip.com and rerunning the Tunze app.

I don't have Lion yet, past experience has taught me to wait a while on new OS's and programs. I will look into this when I get a chance, I am actually planning to upgrade to Lion in the next couple weeks since it seems to be a neat upgrade and without major issues.

It's ok as I said above I got it to work. It did require the latest VCP driver from FTDIchip.com though.
