7096 controller ?

Hello, I was just checking to see if there is any update as to if/when the 7096 controller will be Mac compatible? I am buying a 6055 this week for my Oceanic 58 and was going to get the single controller, but I am very interested in the 7096 if I can run the program on my macbook. I may go ahead and get the 7096 and just take it upstairs and hook it up to my dell to program it in the meantime if an update is coming soon enough. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks


P.S. - Would 2 6055's, tuned down and set at intervals, be too much for the 58 gallon. I also like the idea of being able to upgrade to a larger tank one day and just having to add powerheads.

For now, I can tell you that the 7096 works great on a Mac running windows, I have tried it with VMware and it is very stable and I have had none of the little glitches people have had with PC's. A Mac version is in the works, but Mac USB protocols apparently are very strict to accomplish the plug and play and smooth interface so it has taken a lot longer than expected. I hope it will be ready before the end of the year.

I used 2 6055 at full power on a 58 and it was just right.
