7096 firmware problem, can't update

Hello everyone. I'm asking for help.
I purchased 7096 a week ago. Now i'm trying to connect & setup it.

After installing program and plugging device i start the program. According the docs avrootloader starts and, :eek1:, i see an error message "can't flash, existing version newer". After that 7096 appear on com3 with 255.255.255.255 firmware version.
So now i have the working device with strange firmware version, alot of the new function don't work correctly.

What i have to do to provide the right new update for my device?

And it has never been solved... i'm really sad.

So there is no way to update firmware in home but only on Tunze factory, am i right?

There is a solution that was posted by aaron.miller, I will find his post and get you the link. This occurs when the update is interrupted and the firmware is corrupted as a result.

Thank you, but this solution didn't work.
I've recieved a message "Error: Installed software version is higher as the update". The main program screen shows "COM3 MC7096 V255.255.255.255 found".

At the "Device information" of avrootloader is written "Application software version : 0.0.0.0"
That means comp can discover the 7096 but fw version is abnormal...

In this case it has to be sent in for a reboot. Are you in the US?

No, i'm from Russia. It's a bit far away from the USA. And device was purchased in Germany.
Is there any way to reboot 7096 by myself?

I know they can reboot it at the factory, I will see if I can get an answer in the next few days.

They can only reboot it in Germany at the factory, to reboot it you would need the chip programming unit and this costs much more than the 7096. I should have a proposed solution for you later today.
