7096 for Mac - "receive from unit" work?

Does the "receive from unit" work for Macs? Every time I connect the 7096 and click on receive from unit, it doesn't do anything. It just defaults to the original settings. Does anyone else have this issue?

I will need to test this, I have not tried this function. We are closed this week to do inventory and bookkeeping and I will try to test it next week.

I just tried it on mine, it worked, I tried twice to be sure. I would double check that you have the most recent software and try making a new program, upload it to the controller and then restore from controller to test it. It may be the old data was corrupted, I am not sure why it wouldn't work.

I am using 10.6.6 as well, and I used the version of the program currently available for download (I downloaded it yesterday to be sure it was current). My 7096 is a very early one from the first units made. I don't have an answer as to why it is not working, but it doesn't seem to be an issue with the program, I will see if I can find an answer.

√ Confirmed.

I re-downloaded and reinstalled FTDIUSBSerialDriver_10_4_10_5_10_6 as well and the Aquarium application. Versions are both identical but it seems to be working now. Thanks for looking into this.

I am running SL 10.6.6 as well.

thank you.

Did you install the driver in the link for OS 10.8?

This is not on Tunze.com or included in a 7096 software update, it is a direct link to the chip driver. Without this update it will only work for 10.6 (Leopard).

I know this is an old post, but I am having this problem with a 7096 and the latest ftdi driver on mavericks. I am able to connect and I am able to send programs to the 7096 but I can not receive the program from the unit. Have there been any updates that I should know about? Thanks.

Receive from unit does not work on the Mac. The Mac software is a dead end at this point, it was developed by an intern who has long since left the company and the code knowledge went with him. We are going to attempt to work backwards from the new code for the 7097 to develop a new 7096 update but the 7097 has seen repeated delays due to licensing issues with Apple and Bluetooth and is now being redone as a WiFi controller to get around these issues.

Receive from unit will work on Windows, their is an update for Windows that came out in 2012 and added some new features. However, once you update to the latest Windows software, it will not work on a Mac again as it changes the firmware.
