7096 making my computer crash...

I have two 6105 and the 7096 controller. The Controller is making my computer crash after I've finished and closed the program.

This is what my computer says. It has happened three times. I like the controller but I like my computer more. Is there any help here?

Hi Bobby, sorry about the trouble you're having. This is not a problem I've seen before and it sounds like it could be a more fundamental problem with either the computer hardware or else the Windows installation. If you haven't already, please check for and install any available Windows updates. If your computer came with any driver CDs, please make sure they've all been installed.

Is this a computer your purchased off-the-shelf with Windows preinstalled, or did you piece it together yourself? If it was purchased preinstalled, what brand is the computer?

I have win7, service pack 1, dell, off the shelf, everything pre-loaded. I'm downloading all the updated drivers now, which is taking forever, even BIOS.
