7096 not functioning properly

Hi Roger,

Having an issue with the 7096, after both pumps were turned off, thereby cutting power to the 7096 and upon repowering the pumps the 7096 has not been functioning properly. The lights flash improperly and cause the pump to go run then make a thud noise. in night mode its ok, but when it goes out of it is when it doesnt work properly. And if I put the setting from the pc for pump on socket 1, as 100% over 0%, it does nothing.

Did you figure out the other issue with the pump shutting off? It is hard to conclude without testing the set up more thoroughly whether this is related to the controller, pump, power supply or cable. I have never heard of a controller acting in this way and would be at a loss for why it would do this.

The pumps were shut off at the switch by myself, so it wasn't a freak power loss issue or anything of that sort. I disconnected the controller for most of the day and then hooked it back up and it seemed fine. But again today I noticed it is doing the same and I am worried that this is either damaging the pumps or is going to damage them. I will try and take a video of how the lights flash on the controller, as this may best describe what I'm talking about. Essentially the lights on the controller flash abnormally, which causes the pumps to run abnoramlly, so thats what has me concerned.

Heres the video. What I have noticed, is that when I place my hand slightly over the light sensor (which is selected for night mode) that this abnormality happens...could it be possible the light sensor if faulty? Since this problem ahas been happeneing the pumps have become more noisy too, so not sure if they have had some damage done to them as a result of this..

Also, just a note, the transformers for the pumps make a buzzing noise. is this normal? for example, when the pump is running 30%-100% the buzzing makes the pump output, if that makes sense.

This will not damage the pumps, I think this issue requires hands on, it is beyond being something I can solve by posts and something that requires inspected and it may be unique to 240V in UK. The transformers should not buzz, but again, we only have 115V input and the transformer auto adjusts voltage from 100-250V, at the higher end there may be some differences in the way they run. I would contact Tunze UK.
