70G Recommendation

Hi

Im looking to replace a few old MJ power heads and am looking for some advise on which/how many nano streams i should use. Will be housing most SPS. Note this the tank is a tall 3ft 70gal. Also im planning to cycle them on/off using an aqua controller (though no plan to use an aqua surf) if recommended.

The most economical option would Tunze Nano 6045 start with two this will be more flow then the MJ and then upgrade from this as needed.

Just to add that you need to be aware that the maximum on and off frequency will be once every 15 minutes. Unlike your maxijets a prop pump only works spinning in one direction, most impeller pumps can and do spin clockwise or counterclockwise with no effect on flow. As a resut the mechanical system that corrects direction will break if the pumps are rapidly switched off and on. You also need to expect the pumps will click and chatter on start up. The only way around this is the 6055 which is electronically controlled and uses an electronic system to make sure it starts the right way.
