72" 125 gallon

It will depend on the rock layout and placement but this is a good bet. The Wavebox would absolutely prevent debris from settling but the Streams are required to move the suspended debris which the wavebox would only rock back and forth.

Well, I installed my new 6000's yesterday.
First impressions are disappointing.

I installed them in the back corners pointing towards the front middle to front opposite corner.

I had a bunch of detritus laying on the bottom in the front corners and they were barely disturbed.

I don't have a lot of rock in the tank, and the streams are positioned above the rock layer so there is a clear line from the stream to the front of the tank.

I sucked all the detritus out and will keep an eye on it to see how it works starting with a clean tank.

I also bought a multi-controller but haven't figured out the instructions yet.
Are there any better explanations for what all the different settings do?
The translation is a little weak, and there just isn't enough explanation.
I'm hoping that maybe with the correct setting it will help keep detritus from settling on the bottom.

I did some more reading and I see that the 6000's really only flow out 4' which would explain what I saw last night.
I will have to try and angle them closer to the middle or to the same side that they are mounted on to try and get more action bouncing off the front glass.

Just out of curiosity, why do the 6100's cost more than the 6000's when the only difference is the transformer which you can buy (when in stock) from Premium Aquatics for $67?
If you buy this you then have an extra transformer (the original) that you could then sell and would be better off.

Any idea when more of these transformers will be available?

It is unlikely you would find a buyer for the 6000 transformer. In over two years only maybe 2 people have ever wanted to downsize and it is a $20 transformer new. I am sold out on the transformers through the end of the year. I have some coming but they are all spoken for.

I honestly think the 6100's are too much for your tank. Imagine doubling the flow.

I would use pulse mode so both pumps are running one in the first socket and one in the third. I would set one to run at 30% and 100% and do the opposite for the other 100% and 30%. I would use a 3 sec pulse interval.

Not trying to hijack the thread...but I also have a 72" 125, but WITH a sand bed...how much sandstorm to expect or how can I avoid? Would stream rocks help avoid sandstorm?

The Stream rocks would help, they angle the flow up. You can do this yourself though with a small shim under the rail- just a scrap piece of acrylic. Using the 6000's would be the best way to go. I don't like the 6100's for tanks below 180 gallons.
