7240.27 driver issues

Roger,

I have a three 6100's with the 7240 drivers and each driver has issues.

Driver 1

Runs at full power through driver but will not respond to the 0-10v input. It just runs at full power in all cases.

Driver 2

Will not run the pump UNLESS there is a signal on the 0-10v line.

Driver 3

Puts out the expected beep from the piezo when the pump is disconnected but once you plug the pump in, the piezo alarm sounds continues but sounds like a buzz from a short circuit and the driver gets very hot.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ignore the Driver 1 error. That appears to be that the difference between full power (8v signal input?) and a 5v signal input was hardly noticeable when the pot on the driver was set at minimum power. When I set the pot on the driver to max power, the 5v-to-full power difference is noticeable.

Driver 2 and Driver 3 issues remain.

Thanks

Driver 3 is completely dead and unrepairable.

Driver 2, this could be normal if a DIN cable is connected to the driver and unplugged at the controller or it indicates a short in the socket.

Unfortunately the drivers are no longer available and very little can be done to repair them as I know longer have many parts for them. I would generally not consider them worth repairing at this point as they would be at least 8 years old and the motors and drivers will both be near end of life.

Thanks Roger.

Re: Driver 2

When you say a short in the socket, do you mean at the solder joints or do you mean inside the DIN socket itself?
