7300/2 placement

Hello,
I recently purchased a turbelle 7300/2 powerhead. I have a 55 gallon tank. What is the best place for this powehead? I currently have it placed on the left side of the tank pointing about a 1/4 from the left side.
Also, the flow deflector is that meant to be twisted with the open end facing the water line?
Is there an online store that sells all of your accessories for these pumps. I purchased this pump from Marine Depot but they don't sell a lot of the accessories I've seen on the tunze.com web site.
Finally, are there flow specs for the pumps with head? I'm considering using the 7400/2 in my sump to push the water back into the main display. Is this a correct usage of the pump?

Thanks in advance,

-Brent

In general 7100/2 is the correct return pump, the catalog has the flow chart and I believe it is online too. Max head is 20ft and it has a pretty flat flow curve at 6ft you will get 450gph, the 7400/2 would do slightly less at that head pressure. Marine Depot or any dealer can special order the accesories but they don't stock them. I generally point the flow deflector slightly up and mostly over across the tank. You might go more for a third of the way in for aiming but if you find that what you are doing covers things pretty well then don't worry about it.

Do you recommend two 7300/2's in the 55 gallon? I currently have two brains and frog spawn but want the option to move into SPS in the future since I have two aquariums. Also, I noticed the coralline algae does better with more flow and the sand stays cleaner for longer.
I looked on Marine Depot and I didn't see a 7100. Are they special order items?

Probably special order but most all the accesories and the 7100 are in stock here.

I think one with a decent return flow is sufficient.
