i think you mentioned, but are you going to use all 6 holes in the overflows as drains?
and are you going to designate one with a gate/ball valve to direct feed your skimmer?
did you ever mention a closed loop?
i like how you siliconed the tank to the wall! thats one of those things that i never thought about, but makes perfect since!

All will be used as drains, and definately 1 and possibly even 2 will be designated for skimmers. I say 2, because I do have a pair of monster skimmers.
Dual CL's with both being fed by Hammerheads.
Thank you. The idea was to eliminate the possibility of any moisture getting into the house itself, which is also why I used FRP board on the interios walls of the fish room, and multiple coats of Epoxy Paint on the ceiling. Once everything is completed, I'll then Expoxy paint the floor as well.

It's fine... i had initially considered another set of hooks ion the middle, but I'm far more concerned about being able to easily remove the lights when I need to work on the display.
I built the rack out of Super-Strut, so while there is maybe 1/2" to 3/4" at the most of total bowing in the middle, it can't flex anymore than that just because of the way in which Super-Strut is designed. Keep in mind too that the rack is 10' 4" long.

i guess i originally though the rack would slide out of the way so that you can access the tank more easily. how much room is there between the lights and the tank? is it going to be a problem adding your rock or getting in there for your route-en cleaning?
have you thought about a sliding tract for the lights? (your opinion on them too)

I wanted to do a sliding rail system and had initially planned on it, but then I got *greedy* and the tank size just got bigger and bigger to the point that I had to have a closet removed to tuck the edge into...
It's not possible to slide anything in or out due to the size of this beast, which is why I ended up using eyebolts and hooks for quick removal as needed.
The lights will need to be removed whenever I work on the tank!

Nothing new to update other than I bought a new motorcycle today... Yea, I know , the other new one was only 28 days ago!
Anyway, since the "other" bike was purchased for my wife, and she decided during her MSF class this past weekend that riding absolutely wasn't for her, I traded it in this afternoon for a shiny new 2009 Suzuki SV650F with 0.1 miles on her. She now has 12 miles and has been up to 102mph and she felt as if she wasn't even moving... yet!
As badly as I want that GSX-R600, I just couldn't justify paying a $1500 insurance premium, even though my wife *kinda* gave mer her blessing to get whatever I wanted. She only gave it to me, because she knew that I was going to get whatever the hell I wanted anyway.
Even though I did trade in a 28 day old bike with 77.5 miles on it, I still came out ahead again just like when I bought the GS500F, to the tune of about $500 off , less 100% trade-in value. It certainly wasn't written that way, but since the sales manager is a friend he got very creative with it and I didn't lose a dime on the deal... He knows eventually he'll sell me a Gixxer and/or a ST1300.
