Hey guys i have a 75 gal reef that is heavily stocked and i am constantly cleaning my glass and having alot of algae problems like now i have red slime in the tank... i have never had these issues before in my reef tanks. any help would be great.
tank info
75 gallon marineland corner-flo
40 breeder fuge sump combo
reff octo nw150 skimmer
gamma 8 watt uv
mag 7 return pump
tek-light 6 bulb 4ft light fixture
giesmann bulbs in order-actinic+, aqua blue+, actinic+, aqua blue+, actinic+, actinic+.
tank is about 6 months old but rock and most water was from a old tank i did water changes on to fill this tank. i do regular 5 and 10 gallon water changes. i use only tropic marin pro reef salt, and tropic marin magnesium and calcium, luigols iodine, kent coral accel, aqua vitro fuel, and reef nutrition phyto plankton. all regularly dosed on weekly basis at recomended levels. and again i am not that new to reef tanks just never had this issue b4. i feed my fish once daily enough to keep them healthy and happy. so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Charlie
