75 Gal Build

If you want to keep the egg crate in there, at least do small pieces around the base of where most of the rock is touching, you dont need the whole thing covered

I would just take it out all together. Build your rock and then dump your sand up. The sand will give you your layer of protection should a rock fall.

Just for the record.....that's not how to effectively use Aqua Stik epoxy..

.....1st step is to take it out of the tube....:headwally:

....or were you going for that littered reef look? maybe add a bear can or two, a tire perhaps......

I knew someone here would tell me how to use that stuff!

Thanks for the input everybody. I cut back the eggcrate and moved the rocks around to give me more shelves and flat areas to put corals on, puttied it together, put the sand in and filling it with water.

Tank is filled and running. Waiting for the cloudiness to clear up. I'll let it run a couple of days to let temperature stabilize then start the cycle (fishless).

You dont need to wait a couple of days as the temp doesnt effect the cycle.
