75 gallon blew up.. project 180RR

As my last thread shows my 75 gallon leaked from the bottom seam and dumped a ton of freshwater into the system. My male clown fish died and all my corals are ****ed off.

I moved everything over to a 55 gallon holding tank and moved my T5 fixture over there with it.

I was upgrading anyways but I did not have the funds yet to set up my 180 gallon that I bought on sale.

Well last week I leveled my floor with cement and moved the 180RR over to the spot it will stay. I went to the LFS and bought some goodies

Lighting- 3 Ecotech radion gen 2's. Currently only could afford one until I save more money. I will be using my t5 fixture in the meantime.

Return- Bubble blaster 5000

Skimmer- using my sro 1000sss until I buy a reef octopus DC2

Sump- Trigger system Ruby 36s

Fuge- 30 gallon drilled tank

Flow 2 Mp40 and 1 Mp10

heres a picture of how it sits now....

sorry to hear about the 75 leaking.

I have a 57 rimless that I am about to setup on a homemade stand, and the thought of it leaking is the only thing preventing me from actually setting it up. UGGGJ.

Good luck on the next build; looks like you are off to a good start. I really like that sump. You say you got it locally?

I dunno if you're on the local forum, i'm "intheflesh" on BRS.

Thanks.... the sump is a trigger system... I got it online... I am on that forum same name as this one

obviously there is more rock then that.... the rest is live rock in my 55 gallon temp tank while this one is plumbed and filled

sweet build. jumping on board. i'm setting up a 57 rimless with a pair of radions and then want to upgrade to a 180 or 220.
how do you think 3 radion will cover it?

haha. i just sold my 150 cube, rocks, and waiting for the skimmer and leds to sell to have my wallet full. only tohave it empty in 5 seconds. lol

Very nice. You may want to move that paper target as the new inhabitants might get nervous.

How are you going to set this one up different than the other one?

i threw the target out already... and im painting the back blue i think... the only real big difference is lighting.... i have t5's on the 75 and i switched to radion gen2's so hopefully i like them

plumbing is done.... the picture kind of makes it look like the PVC is not straight... Ignore the cords they are not staying there... just heating the RO water being filled into the tank

everything looks good. the only problem i see in this is if the pipe om the far right is your return your going to want to put a ball value(control) and a union(unscrewing) there in case you ever need to clean your pump or what happened to me a sea cucumber get stuck in it.

i actually didnt even glue the bottom of the return piping... so i can easily take it off and throw in a ball valve.... good call

I fired up the return pump and no water comes out of the nozzles that is Teed off to my Fuge.... should i put a ball valve on the pipe that goes to my fuge so it will force more water up to the tank?

Also the water in the fuge just keeps rising so im assuming im going to need a valve to slow down the flow going to the fuge right?

all is well so far... I have my old 48in T5 and one radion gen2... almost have enough to buy the other two radions.... i havent updated this in a few so heres a recent tank shot from about a hour ago...

as you can tell the radion is on the left side in acclimation mode so its not as bright as the T5. cant wait to get the other two and see what my corals are like under them and how they grow.....

Donations for a poor guy trying to buy his radions are welcome :celeb3:
