In my 75 gallon I have 7 fish and I was wanting another main showpiece for my tank. I love lots of colors and movement in my tank. Any good suggestions?

Fish List so far...
- 2 False Percs. (1 was my first fish...over 1 1/2 years old. Queen *****)
- PJ Cardinal (Over 1 year old. Very peaceful)
- Royal Gramma ( kind of a bully till i put tang in)
- Yellow Tang (main showpiece about 3 inches)
- Green Chromis (Yellow Tangs buddy and very small)
- Mandarin Dragonet ( Beautiful Fish and the newest to my tank)

Im looking for some different colors and an active fish with personality. Maybe some kind of wrasse, goby, or anthias. Pink, blue, red, black, white, or any other colors i dont have.

Yes this is a reef tank. Sorry I didn't mention that in the earlier post, but I have a lot of LPS, softies, and RBTA. Do yall have experiences with wrasses and do you think if I got one my royal gramma would go to town on it?

Royal Grammas typically just defend a small area/cave. They should be just fine with basically any Wrasse. I had a RG with 2 Fairy and 1 Flasher Wrasse in a 55 long without any big issues.

I've got a royal gramma in my 75 gal. with a leopard wrasse and a pencil wrasse and they are fine together. Like the previous poster said they typically just defend their cave and don't chase after other fish.

dang my RG is all over the place and before I got my yellow tang, my RG was the "queen B" in my 75. He swims all over the place all day and yes he has his night time cave but he bullied all my new fish before I added my yellow tang. Chased them all over the tank

Silly question, but it is a RG and not a Bicolor Dottyback right? Seems uncharacteristic for them is why I ask.

Yes its a royal gramma. I have had it about 6 months and every time I added a new fish it would chase it every time the other fish would get close to it. Mouth open and at the other fishes tail. Its kind of cool to watch but disappointing as well. Ever since I added the much larger yellow tang though it hasn't messed with any new fish I added. Just iffy about adding another fish like the royal gramma in size and personality wise. I love wrasses and their colors though so I might try a carpenters or flasher though.

I've heard grammas tend to stay close to their cubby holes or caves but mine loves swimming out in the open and all around the tank.

Displaying an open mouth is very typical of them, so no issues there. They usually do not do much more than that though. Mine would also do this to any new fish whenever they got near its cave. But it would not constantly chase like you are describing.

well maybe since I have the bigger and badder yellow tang now then it would bother a good looking wrasse. Any specific types yall like better then others? Never had one and i know live aquaria and other places talk about their personalities but nothing beats a actual experience someone has had with one

Well, could you name one or two you have your eye on? There are over 60 species between Fairy & Flasher Wrasses, so plenty to chose from :)

maybe a carpenters flasher or maybe a long-fin fairy? I wonder how a pair of fire fish would do. I'm sure that would add some different colors

Carpenter's would be fine, as would any other Flasher Wrasse. Longfins (C. rubriventralis) can become aggressive with other Fairy Wrasses. If it is the only one, then that would not be an issue. But if you ever wanted to add any, there could be problems.

A pair of Firefish would be fine, as long as they are a true bonded pair. Otherwise you will be left with one over time.
