75 Gallon Reef Stocking

Here is what I have stocked so far:

Sailfin Tang
Clownfish
Engineer Goby
Bangaii Cardinal

I was wondering, could keep a Matted Filefish with them? I have an aptaisia problem and so far everything I've tried has only helped them. Would this be ok? Another idea I've had is adding a Midas blenny to this aquarium. From what I've read so far it should work, but I would rather be safe than sorry

Take the sailfin out. It grows massive. I saw one this weekend in a 700 gallon, and fully extended it looked cramped.

Yellow tang is a good choice if you want a tang.

Sorry, but this is not true.
Bristletooth's like a Kole tang will be much better suited to a 4' tank. A yellow should be in a 5'-6' tank.

my YT was a terror in my 75 (n00b mistake). i wouldn't choose any Zebrasoma for a 4' tank. his attitude has chilled out considerably since being moved to my 6' tank.

I have a small yellow in my 75 and it has been a model citizen for the last year. I got it after extensive discussions with fellow reefers and by no means am I saying I am correct in keeping it. You can probably get away with it short term like I have been, but a tomini probably is your best bet. I do have a friends larger tank to rehome the yellow to once it gets bigger, or shows signs of aggression, lined up. If I am still living in an apartment and have not upgraded my set-up by the time he needs more space, he definitely will be moved for his benefit (250 gallon reef with peaceful reef fish and not other tangs). If you have an exit strategy and the fish is small enough, I'd say go for a small yellow or purple. I have had Kole's and Tomini's on several occasions and each Kole eventually became very aggressive towards my other fish. Could have just been luck of the draw, but several friends had similar experiences with Kole's also. The Tomini's always were very peaceful in my tank. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

Totally agree, hence why I only purchased with a viable option to move it to a better home once it starts being aggressive or too big. As of now, my two chromis rule the roost so to speak. Been one year and it has grown a decent amount and I probably will have to rehome in the next 6 months or so since I sadly do not have a planned upgrade as of now. That was my point of an exit strategy....
