75 gallon sumpless reef

I have a 40g sumpless with hob skimmer and hob fuge...

The next one won't be sumpless! I now see the benefits of running the skimmer in a sump.

Great looking tank. I ran a similar setup for several years. 75 gallon with aquac remora pro skimmer and a fluval canister filter. I had 2 power heads for flow and not much else. The canister ran all the time. Sometimes just floss sometimes just carbon.

Beautiful tank especially being sump less. I liked having sump less tanks because all my return pumps are loud on my sump tanks. HOBs are way quieter in some cases. Also it's right on the back of the tank if something goes wrong. I have never gone reef with a sump less tank but you have done well so congrats

if you want to know how to make one. Just google search mag float frag rack.

That's genus. So you glued that light fixer to it? Did you us one mag floats for it or two.

I only used one mag float. and super glued the egg crate to the mag float. Works great!

Cool tank. Got a 75 from my neighbors but it has a broken center brace on the bottom frame,it holds water but too risky and don't have a stand anyway. I also run w/o sumps on my 2 29g and 20l. Canisters , power hob filters and powerhead/ circulation pumps for now but all is well so far! I do have some extra 10 and 14g tanks around for when I can make a sump someday.

Someone should make a sumpless tank photo thread.

There is a "Shallow Reef" and a "Corner Tank" club. The nano's/pico's and the Big Dog's have their own sub-forums. Why not have a "Sumpless" group? I doubt there is enough of us to ever get a sub-forum but we can certainly make our own thread club. Shucks, just change the title and run with this one. Several of us are here already.
