75 gallon upgrade

Larger that I had in my sons old tank we took down to redo, it's a good deal bigger and was plenty to blanket the entire tank with another inch or so.

Nice. Haven't been able to make myself take the plunge on a reef keeper. Maybe when I set up a larger tank.

I would go with an apex if I had a do over. I like my reef keeper but the phone app and setting up the net module lacks severely.

Not sure if this is normal, my last sump silicon work never turned a yellowish color and has some spots. This one has and I'm concerned to move any corals and fish into it.

What type of silicone did you use? From my understanding not all silicone from the hardware store reacts the same with saltwater. If it was good to use, maybe you did not allow long enough cure time.

Used GE silicone type 1 and let it cure for over a week. Greg said his did the same it's just algae and is normal. No worries, thanks for the reply. Also added a fairy wrasse today and it's looking great!

Has been awhile! Greg came over last weekend to help me get the move on. We totally destroyed my apt in one afternoon, taking the 40 breeder from its place and replacing with my 75 gallon dream. Moved all corals and rock with corals attached to display, and over stuffed the sump with the rest. Upgraded the DIY led fixture by adding more royal blues and removing a few whites in the process (56 Cree LEDs total now). It has been a week now and here is what I get to enjoy.

The breeder was taken down and finally I'm down to having one tank running for the summer, very happy about it.
