Hi Everyone: I finally had some time to put some pics online of the tank. More will follow, I just need to get a better camera! Here's a little info. We just recently upgraded from our 44 to this 75 reef ready beauty. We have a 20 gallon sump with a Coralife Super Skimmer Venturi in sump. MAG 9 return pump and 2 Koralia 3's for movement. To feed our photosynthetic corals we have (2) 150 watt MH's each with 2 35 watt Actinics. We also have (2) 3 watt moon lights. Our reef is mixed with LPS, SPS, inverts, clams and live fish. We have 75 lbs of ls and 100 lbs of live rock. The rock is mostly Figi.

Hope everyone likes what they see. Let me know.

I'll tell ya what, that first shot looks great. Love the aquascape and open area for swimming. I love 75's. They really can look alot bigger than they are. Yours is no exception.

Nice work!

Thanks Capt. Please everyone, keep in mind, this tank has only been up for 2 months in this tank and the 44 we upgraded from was only up for 1 year. It's still very young.

It is looking good.

Couple of suggestions, removed the glass tops -- you will get better gas exchange, and will trap less heat ( if you are having temp issues ), plus, they will get covered with salt creep in time.

Also, might want to think about putting a back ground on it.

Thanks guys.

todd- I am def. going to be adding the background. It's a much needed additive. It will surely help the color of my corals pop more. I'd like to take the glass tops off too but I'm worried that the salt creep will end up in my lights. I'd much rather have to replace the glass tops for 30 dollars rather than the lighting for $$$$.......hahaha! I do however open them daily for quite a few hours while I am home. Thanks for your input.

Background would make you tank look much better. It is very nice..dont cut yourself short on that..just a suggestion to add to the viewing pleasure.

Do you lights have a splash shield on them? (( assuming they are SE, and not DE, which would already have a shield )).

I have my hanging over my 75, with an open top. I just clean the shield twice a month. But, I have to have an open top -- gets too warm otherwise. You might not have that issue with the tank being in a basement ( at least it looks like it is from the picture )

your tank looks really good, i like the rockwork.

all you need to do is remove the glass lids and paint the back, JMO.

looks really good though, you did your homework, nice and clean.

Nice:thumbsup: I'm in the process of setting mine up and trust me the light won't creep it is pretty high not 1 cm on top which would defiantly get creep. Good luck and add more corals and fish (still a lot to go):D

Thanks Doug! Whenever you get a chance, give me a jingle....i'd like to talk to you about the best way to go about my refugium....
