750g show tank (L shape)

when say are going to fill it a week or two, is that with water to test for leaks or straight in with salt?

looking great, always think L are better you may have space for a 12 foot tank but a 6 foot L

we won't do a test, we will fill it with ro/di water right away

but now, we think we may do an euro brace at the bottom of the tank... the compagny said it wasn't necessary but well... better be sure than sorry no?

so we may do that... still not sure

:)

tiny update today

I found sometime ago 2 barnacle for our tank!
really happy about that, it will make good appartements for my futur blennies :)

:fish1:

My boyfriend just came home and we receive our Heater!

... but it's not the right one :furious:

we received a heater in stainless instead of Titanium :(
sooo tomorrow I'll have to call back the compagny and return this one... it may take back of 2 weeks to fill the tank of water :(

big update :)
the plumbing for "the tank to the sump" is almost done !

we still have to make the hole in the sump and 2-3 adjustement on the plumbing. We install a pipe for air taking in plexi with 2 o-ring it will help the flow and we will be able to remove it in case of probleme :)

what do you think? :)

i was wondering how you are going to attach the brackets to the tank? if the back of the tank is glass and the brackets are acrylic/pvc, how are you going to connect them and make them stick?
(it might be obvious and i am just not seeing it.)
great update by the way

Wow! that's awesome. Very professional looking.

I'm not clear on what the purpose of the clear vertical section is? Is there a vent on the top of it? If not, the air trapped in there would prevent it from filling with water.

Phil

The tank room looks great, i like how you have a very simplistic plumbing aproach. This gives it a very clean look! As far as the brackets, my guess would be that you're going to silicone them to the glass??

the brackets are glue with plastic glue... it's not indestructible since it's on glass but it's easily support our weight so it's should'nt be a probleme

thank you!

we put plastic glue and silicone too for the brackets... should be solid enough :D

Thank you Phil!

it's still not finish... but the cap of the clear vertical section will be made so we will be able to twist it to let enter more or less air this way it will facilitate the flow to the sump

Félicitation!!!

This truly is the best startup build I have seen in a long time. I love the attention taken to the technical details. Can't wait to see how this build continues.

I'd love to see a pic of the workshop also.
