750g show tank (L shape)

Exceptional build from start to finish!
Keep us updated on the LED fixture, I'm betting the plan is to replace the other T5 unit.

how about another video or more pictures of behind the seans....
i loved all the professional piping and building that went into this build.. i would love to see it all in action again..

yesterday, she just mentioned that she switched out the light yesterday.... so if you see some growth in 2 days... i will need a 8Ft light and a 4Ft light as well as 2 24" lights!!!!!!!!

Miss that out dahenley, thanks for highlighting.

Haksar, sorry if i came off as rude.. i apologize.. (bad day yesterday...)

Tipu, with your blue's and white's on can you tell much difference in color or any difference when you turn your red's on 100% or off? what looks different. (im have no knowledge about LED's.. ) and i love how they made a 8 ft fixture... (nothing comes in that size...)

you can see the difference, when everything is at 100% I find it a little too red

I try showing it in picture but it doesn't work, I mean it's not a big difference, the yellow tangs will be a little more orange than yellow, red corals look really nice but it just a little to much to look real

here's you can see a little the difference when the blue is at 100%

Just blue

Blue and red

Just blue

Blue and red

(the difference is more than that in person... it's not easy to show it in pictures)

thats a great picture, and i understand that its different in real life

but from here, it looks like the red color is a different dynamic of actinic lighting.. it brings out the florescence in corals. but mainly the red pigments

No issues dahenley.

Tipu..combination of red and blue lighting looks nice.

so the PAR of the Reef Republic LED fixture :
(make with a PAR meter from Apogee)

- Reef Republic LED fixture : 420-430 PAR

to give you some comparaison
- Geisemann 250w MH 20k (bulb of about 6 months): 320 PAR

we had place some SPS (acropora, montipora, milipora) and we already saw some grow :)

an other news in our tank :
like some of you know we have a store, and one of our customers, came to me telling me that she had bought 6 months ago a Morish Idol and that after reading about this fish found out that a 90g wasn't the best tank for him, so knowing that we had a 750g she ask us if we would like to have him

I said yes loll I know he can eat corals... but it's such a beautifull fish... I wasn't sure if I want to let you know that I have this fish... I really don't want people to think it's a easy fish that you can try in your tank, but I'm so proud of this fish couldn't help myself to show you this video :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhW3LfFxvcg

right now he is feeding on :
- new life spectrum finicky fish formula
- Marine flake OSI
- Sv. M2 (elos fish food)
- mysis shrimp
- Nori
- and anything else I put in the tank... he eat everything... and a LOT of everything... seem this fish is always hungry lol

Great video! Thanks for sharing. What happened to the other moorish idol?

Just read this entire thread...there goes a mornings worth of work that didn't get done!

An absolutely stunning build and a testament to just what can be done when money is no object. What impresses me the most, aside from the brilliant craftsmanship, is just how sanitary and clean the support room looks. Many times, we see threads of awesome looking tanks, only to see in behind where there is a mess of wires and pipes and whatnot...but here, everything is ordered and planned and set to be simultaneously out of the way and yet totally accessible. You guys have clearly put alot of thought into this tank and it really shows in every aspect.

Great work!! :D

thank you so much for your words :)

as for our other 2 morish idol, when the friend of my boyfriend gave them to us, they were really skinny, they started getting better but we left for a one week vacation and the person who took care of our tank probably didn't feed enough and when we came back they were dead :thumbdown

it was so sad...

Hi, is it possible to see some updated full-tank images? The video of the moorish idol only gave us tantalizing hints of what has been accomplished so far. It would be nice to see how the whole tank is progressing (even if it may not be perfect yet).

Thx,

Dave.M

Marie, all I can say is :bounce2:WOW:bounce2: , I've read through the entire build and it's just phenomenal!!!! The detail of the tank and all the equipment/plumbing is just awesome. Keep us all updated ;)

Nice led setup I've been looking for something to add to my center of my tank rather than another MH may have found it haha.

I just read through your whole thread and this has to be the most amazing build I have ever seen. Your tank is amazing, and all of your equipment is laid out so perfectly. This tank will be absolutely stunning once all those coral grow in. Your store looks awesome too!
