750g show tank (L shape)

i was just looking at these pictures again, and in the first picture, there is a union with a cap on the drain line. i was wondering if that was going to be used to feed your skimmers? (my second thought was how you are going to make sure that there is enough drain/pressure to send water through the union? if there were a valve under it to force pressure through the union i would understand.
thanks.
its looking good so far!! :bounce1::bounce2::bounce3: i cant wait for more!!!:celeb3:

no it's not to feed the skimmer, the return of the skimmer will be there :)

update :

the tank was making so much noise!!! so JF make a silencer :)

it makes such a difference now the tank is really quiet :)

and we put flow meters, JF love the idea of the clamps but didn't like the look so he make new clamps :frog:

in the end 3 flowmeters will be install :
1 for the water going back in the tank
1 for the uv
and 1 for the skimmer

Been hooked on your thread from the beginning. Your doing such a sweet job . It takes guts to build the tank yourself. If the electrical bill gets to high maybe you can put up solar panels to run it.:D

You should put on full SCUBA gear and go in there... wont oil from the body mess up the water? I usually wash my hands a lot before I put them in there...

AMAZING build! I had built my 800 gal before we sold the house and know what went into that, and it was not nearly a pretty and in depth as this. I am utterly impressed, you two have done a phenomenal job.

Just read this thread for the first time...

amazing and congratulations on your reef tank...

The attention to detail on this build is incredible. It has been my favorite build thread on this site, by far. I doubt I will ever have such a large tank, but even when I do my custom build for my 65, I will try to have everything as well thought out as you guys are doing. This should be a lesson in how to layout a system.

Subscribed.

Can you have a tank of the month with no real fish or corals in it????

if this build keeps up, it will be right there with the best of them.

I could not see where the water flows that box into the sump

little update today :)

we put our phytoplancton reactor :) it's still not completly finish but you can see what it will look like :)

Sorry for going back on you.... I know the phytoplankton reactor is the green one, what will you be growing in the second one? Assuming the phytoplankton will be the food for that, how do you get the phytoplankton into the second reactor? Is it automated somehow? Sorry for asking basic questions, just trying to learn....

Thanks for taking the time to chronicle your build.
