750g show tank (L shape)

hi again. i wanna try to build a glass tank myself. its nothin to ur size. im wanting to try to build a 60 x 42 x 24. i was wonderin wat kind of silicone did u use??

Any updates? I check RC everyday just to see if you've added anything. Great everthing about the tank.

WOW. Took a while to get through this thread. I have to say I love the L shaped tank. Looking forward to following this thread. I am officially Suscribed.
 
great build thread! keep the photos coming :) you know how we all like pics!!!!! top shelf all the way. i love how you are using all the best stuff.
have you had any problems with your overflows? not that i think you would but that horizonal line is fairly long.... what diameter is the main overflow line? and does it have a vent? does it surge? or is it just steady flow?

page 9 has a pic of a clear surge tube.
as far as the performance, i havent heard anything yet.
 
Just read thru the whole thread. Outstanding attention to detail. The best tank thread I have seen to date on RC. Congrats on your dream build to you both.

we are really happy with the results... but we can't wait to put some fishes in it lol

well not much update... we had been really busing in the holiday with the boxing day and all!

our tank is still in "cycle".... still have a little nitrites :( and lot of brown algae!! :mad: but well it's normal... it's just so hard to be patient!!

Thank you!, like dahenley told you, we have a clear surge tube... you can see it on page 9

we had no problems at all with the overflow :)
the 2 overflow are the same size : 4 hole of 1 1/2 inch

for now everything is working very well :)
