Well the family is complete:) I ordered a Deltec Calcium reactor today.

Also I have to say my Deltec Skimmer is incredible. It did take a few days to completly break in but now it's as good as gold.

That is sweet. If I could have all of one brand of equipment it would be either Deltec or RE for sure. How about some pics of your skimmer doing what it does best?:)

I was trying to make a similar decision 8 months ago regarding lighting. I eventually ended up buying a Hamilton fixture because it was one of the few companies to have VHOs with the MH. I considered the Maristar also but decided against the T5 suppliments. After reading the discussions on RC I think I would have purchased the Reef Optix III Plus - 250W HQI Pendants and added VHO actinics. I was lazy and didn't want to get involved with the wiring.

I don't know of any sites that sell SPS frags under 10K lighting, however Reefermadness is having an incredible sale right now; 20 frags for $200 and they always throw in a few extra. I was thrilled with the selection they sent me last week. My first ordered didn't look so hot under the 10Ks which I bought 4-5 months ago. They looked brown at first, but after a few months the colors started to show. I now use the Phoenix 14ks and the colors are terrific. Think about ordering while the sale is on. You can't beat those prices and selection

Sounds like everything is going well so far. Look forward to seeing your tank one day.

Yeah I think I'm going to go with

From Reef geek or PA

Reef Optix III Plus - 250W HQI Pendants, Blue Wave VII MH Ballast: 2-250W HQI with dual switches and dual power-cords for independent control of each bulb, and two Phoenix 250W 14000K+ Double Ended Metal Halide Bulbs.

As you might have noticed alot of what up buying will be used on my future 120 setup.

I think I'm done buying things for this week. I want another Tunze 6100 but I will wait for these Icecaps to come out.

I also have a custom sump coming in a few weeks. I know I picked the right person for the job.

This Friday I will be helping my Good Reefing Buddy Wagerja hook up his Calcium Reactor. I love his tank. I might also be able to pick up some more Frags for my tank if we have time.

I really have been thinking alot about buying a ozone unit but I wouldn't feel comfortable with my newborn son in the house and me running it.

I also plan on buying a Typical Yellow tang ROFL... Why I just want him to work at picking algea in my areas that I have low flow.

Believe me, I would never buy a Yellow Tang. They are to common for my taste. But I want him just for a Job:) Also I never planned on having fish in the 75gal. So this is a exception. Maybe a lawnmower blenny also.

To the Tang Police.............Oh Well!!!

Arconom, that looks awesome. Only thing is, I think somebody messed up real bad. That is the funniest looking yellow tang I've ever seen.

I just got a Kole Tang too. Very nice.

i was at Travis's today and saw that beta 6-2+ WOW!!! that is some serious bubbles!! freaking amazing man. i was gonna get a beta test but held out. now i'm getting an RC80. 5" wide 22" high w/ a reciculating modded sedra 3500 that pulls 500L/hr! should rock on my 58gal

What is that? Fluidized reactor?

I am still amazed with your ER skimmer. That thing keeps pulling nasty nasty poo with no effort at all. It is also a rock solid skimmer. It doesn't fluctuate constantly or crash every time I feed the tank or stick my hands in the water. It almost makes me consider getting an ER, to be honest. But then I remember what I AM getting and the visions of a large ER vanish.

How about some close-up pics of your Deltec skimmer? I would love to see some pics of the bubble size and density in the reaction chamber and also a nice nog pic.:D So how does the Deltec compare to the ER now that you've been running it for a little while? Proably still too early to tell since you don't have much of a bio-load but I can't wait to hear.

I will get all of this for you. It still is to early to say alot. But even after ER "borrowing" ideas from Deltec they both create skimmate in 2 completely different ways.

ER still only has a piece to a puzzle. The formation of bubbles in the reaction chamber are almost the same.

Deltec gets more bubbles farther down in the chamber. But this isn't the big difference.

The biggest difference is where the skimmate production begins. I will have to post pictures to show you what I mean. Also I will make a seperate thread since I planned on comparing them in a seperate thread.

I will keep you posted. I have to go rip up tile in my bathroom:(

Well Update time.

I now have my calcium Reactor online. I'm still dialing it in. It seems to be working great.

Since my good friend Jay is still taking care of most of my frags I decided to buy a few.

Since I talk about Jays tank so much heres the thread.

One coral I bought was a duplicate of what Jay has. I can't bare to let him frag his Bennet Purple rim cap. It's not big enough. Also this was only sent to him a few months ago and was not in the original batch I had given him.

I love the coral so I had to have it again:)

Same Frag in photo. Different Light setting on camera. The frag is 3x3. I only buy the best, Eric at Fragfarmer IMO only sells the best.

Heres another frag Pink Prostrata. It has a sick Pink color. I know this will fade with my XM10ks. I will miss the color. I have to wait for my ROIII setup:( with 14ks

Man its looking good! I'm glad I subscribed to this. I'm getting rid of my 75 and going with a AGA RR 120 which will be BB and SPS only. I'll have some zoos growing on the starboard but thats it. Now I just have to get everything in place, cook my rock and all that fun jazz... Only thing is I have quite a few fish, 2 female & 1 male lyretail anthias (they eat alot too), 1 spotted mandarin, 3 small green chromis (which I could do without), 1 false perc, 1 fire clown (which I could do without), 1 fire shrimp, 1 cleaner shrimp, 4 pepperments (they eat aptasia!!!!) and 6 small emeralds to help w/bubble algae along with some small hermets and lots of other snails. Quite a bioload for a BB tank...

Erik, I got dibs on a frag of that Prostrata when it's ready. I've got some new stuff I think you'll want a frag of too. Things have changed quite a bit in my tank since you've seen it.
