75g build

That is their old high flow design. Even the small ones handled 1500-2000gph. A bigger one like in a 40 breeder would do 2500-3500 But that design would run me 600$+ so I build it hehe

that reminds me I want it to stop raining so I can paint the inside of my hood. thats not a bad price for the sump/skimmer set.

Any auto store should have it or can order it. I got some from a machine shop that does engine heads. They use it like crazy

Here we go. Here is a few views on how it goes together.

Other side that you will see.

The fit

Back side looking through

Inside. This will be painted and I got a great idea for it too.

outside fit

See the small cracks and gaps. I dont want my living room to look like a disco.

This is how it will drain to my sump thought I would toss it in there.

OK here we go. I want to cover all the little light bugging cracks so I came up with this years ago. Back in the late 90's to be exact I use this found at lowes for 5$ a sheet. It is curragated plastic sheeting. Also Elmers makes a foam board at walmart for 2$ a sheet

The glue I used is a contact cement. this had tandy leather name on it but as long as you get the contact cement for countertops it will work. apply on both sides let dry 15 minutes and press together.

Drying and ready to press on

Spreading it on. It is like sticky thick snot.

Looking good and cuts easy to fit.

With doors and all done NO light will come from hood. I also picked the white due to it bouncing some light back in tank.

Its going faster than UPS shipments. I am waiting on parts and pieces now. ugg Now I get to work on my two inventions.

lol ups sucks !
i got my pump in and its running now coral is going crazy looking grake an they love the flow
