I was fairly annoyed with the black starboard so I picked up some white 3/4" cutting board. Much better imo.

Need to move the rocks around a bit, there is also another 2 rocks that need to go in.

Oh yeah, the tank has had sw in it for awhile actually, but the dc pump leaked. So I bought a mag12, which needed a new front cover so Ive been waiting on that. Actually that reminds me I need to check the mail because it's suppose to be here today.

It just wasnt appealing to me. I think the white looks better. I think it'll make the tank look brighter. I know a lot of the Japanese tanks use white hdpe to help reflect light up to the bottom of the coral.

It's getting there Mike, Good job so far.
I'll have to come by some time and see it in person, and maybe hit the Skyway.

Well Russ, the water is about to be nice around the skyway area, I say we get something going. Oh and also, hard plumbing an external pump inside a stand is so not a good idea. Definitely need to add some vinyl tubing before this pump vibrates everything apart.

There's always that one moment when the water goes over the elbows your holding your breath and the plug for the return pump... Then the drains kick in!

Looks good man, IMO I would of painted the overflow but just realized now while I'm typing this you're putting black PVC in. It'll look a lot better.

Glad to see it running.......Now I haven't done my research but why don`t major tank manufacturers use this overflow design now like I said I might be wrong no research done, but man I could hear you walking around the room but very little to no sound from the tank maybe just the extra emergency overflow pipe with a 90 by the sock making a small trickle.....My 90 marineland perfecto with a durso has little noise, but now I want that design for the sound and the extra added security of no possible overflow... Nice job Mike!!! Cant wait to watch the next months of coral additions

Thanks everyone! I'm pretty happy with the way it's coming out so far. Still need to figure out how I'm going to hang the lights. I know I am going to be using a diy t5 light, just trying to figure out how I want it to look. I really like the way the enclosed fixtures look but at the same time I really like the industrial look of something like this.
