75g build.

2 wp25 in a BB 75gal sps tank I think that may even be a bit low on the flow. I like a lot of flow to keep detritus from collect in a bb tank for sure. U might want to consider a 3rd one. Then I think u could possible dial them back if u have issues.

+1

The WP's do make lots of waves but don't make lots of flow. Your rockwork will ultimately decide on how many powerheads you'll need.

Waves are the issue... I saw a wp25 on a 100g dialed down to the lowest setting on pulse and the wave was huge, I'm fully aware of bb and dead zones I have one...

I'm currently running 2 wp25's on an 85 hex mix reef tank. I had them in a 56 tall & it wasn't too much flow. A lot depends on powerhead placement/ angle & aquascape. I can put them in any mode & get great random flow. Of course I've had to specifically place corals for all this to work good. Also about 2-3" of sand.

We'll see how it goes. I am definitely running atleast 2 wp25s. Might add a wp10 or wp25 to the back just help stir things up.

Started the fill the tank up tonight just as a leak test. Got the tank over half way filled then I noticed something with the stand the was a little weird to me, I'm sure it was nothing but I'd rather not take the chance at the moment without renters insurance. Going to get some stainless steel angle brackets tomorrow to stiffen it up just a tad more, then get some renters insurance on Monday and finish leak testing it. This return pump is seriously amazing though. I know it's just a photo but that was only on the first setting of the pump. To be continued.....again.

I picked up a canopy for it, I like it because it's not real high. I'm also going to replace the top piece with a new piece so the top piece sits flush and doesnt overhang.

Thanks Jason.

Nice canopy. Tried to look for one for my 75. Need to find an open top and one that is 12" high so you don't see the lights in your face when sitting on the couch.

Thanks, I like it because it's not very tall. I'd say your best bet if you can't find one is to just build one. I didn't build this one but just a simple canopy that you're talking about would probably be pretty easy to diy. Oh yeah and, I finally got all the filters etc for my RO/DI i.e carbon block, sediment filter, and di resin. Also picked up a brand new ro membrane from a fellow reefer. Will be making some nice clean ro/di water real soon and should have this thing cycling this coming up weekend.

This is true. I am looking into doing one myself. Seems cheaper and I can build it to my liking.

Can't wait to see what comes
