75g build.

I like the idea of kessil for simplicity sake. No work involved except plugging them in! Plus a 2 year warranty is nice. What really makes me want the kessils is that I know if I seek them down the line, I'll get more money for them than I wil for a diy light. But if I never break down, who cares about selling. It's a tough one. How much juice does your fixture pull?

Around 180-190w for the LEDs and 78 for the t5s. But the LEDs at 100% on all drivers puts out well over 78,000 lumens.

Finally start to get water in this thing. Get the sump filled. I leave for an hour, come home and the sump is leaking all over the place. I'm assuming it's from where they're connected. It was fine before I tore the tank down. Might have to rethink the sump idea.

Maybe just glue both sumps together with Weldon #4 and make it one sump then you can have them with no bulkheads .....

Started building the sump. Pretty happy with how this is turning out. Still need to add the baffles and the top trim.

It does look really tall, I think it's because it's on our tiny little kitchen table. It's only 16" tall, same height as my current sump actually.

Got some of the baffles in, one of them is slight crooked, it leans like 1/8th inch forward, suppose it's not a huge deal but still a little disappointing.

Same thing happened to me when I made my sump. I felt the same way, but once you get it up and running you will completely forget about it.

As a matter of fact thanks for reminding me. Now I'm slightly disappointed in my craftsmanship from last year haha.

venturi effect :).

Looks great Mike, doesn't mean anything so tell folks it's "by design for "ventricular velocity bubble reduction interaction phosphate nitrate nuclear reduction. All calculated by ohms law and newtons physics"

I was going to finish the baffles tonight but, the place that cut them cut one of the baffles 17" long, ***. So I went oh crap maybe I gave them the wrong dimension, except they wrote on the baffle 15.5" x 6". So now I get to make a trip there first thing in the morning for a free cut lol.

Got the last baffle trimmed and bonded in. Majority of it is done, still need to cut the top brace, bond it, cut the holes for the filter socks then route all the edges and leak test it.
