75g Build

I'm sure they are stressed. They just went through alot with the travelling and relocation. That stresses me out too. If your levels are fine and they are looking better, maybe the worst is over. My tank had some angry looking stuff in it when I first set it up too. Watch things closely.

Oh, and emptied my mailbox. I didn't want you to be the only one guilty of that, Val!

What's the status on your tank? I haven't heard an update since the shrooms were stressed. I wish you weren't so far away. I'd love to venture over and take a looksee.

Yeah Yeah Yeah...what she said.... Where's the eye candy??

You confused me with this one, James...You are suggesting that you want to see more photos as well as hear the status???

The tank is still looking pretty good...haven't lost anything yet. We just finished adding the live sand last night. So hopefully everything makes it through that. The next few days will tell, but so far so good.

I have a bit of live sand left over if anyone is interested? I may hang on to it in the event that I ever go to a 125, but I'm not quite sure how to store it until then.

What kind of sand is it?? IS it sugar fine or more course?? I'd be interested depending on what type it is. I can trade for a 30# bag of crushed coral if need be. Regardless, let me know about the sand. I'd be happy to come get it.

I implore you to look into a tank down the road with 2' width (front-to-back). A standard 120g is 4' x 2' x 2' and would only require 2 MH's over it as opposed to a 125g that would require 3 MH's over it. Besides, the 2' width make for better aquascaping, more room in front of the rock.

My only problem is that I already built the stand to hold a 125. We were looking at the 6' length versus a 2' width.

The sand is more course. I'm not sure how much is left either. I'll let you know.

Did you buy a 125g already??

And I would only need a little sand anyways, gonna go into my 40g fuge.

No, but we built the stand to be able to hold a 125 when we decide to upgrade so we don't have to build another stand then...

Taking one tank off and putting another on is going to be fun. I did it with a leaky 240g. I used a 300g Rubbermaid tank as a temporary pool and still ran it off my sump. Talk about a security fence to keep the kids out!!
