75g Softies

I think I'm leaning toward doing a mostly softie/shroom/zoo tank. I'm getting lighting next week and I'm wondering if 2x54wt Tek T-5's are enough for my plans. Also are 2 koralia 4's plus my 500gph return pump enough/to much flow. This is a 75g.

For softies, 2x45 might be ok.

As far as flow, i think thats perfectly fine for a 75. Thats a lot of GPH but the koralias really disperse the flow, so it will be fine IMO

More lighting wouldn't hurt, if you can splurge and get 4x54 you should be in real good shape.

Soft Corals like more light and water flow than most people think. Consider where most of them are located on the reef. Many are right around the SPS corals that everyone believe need halides and 40x plus turnover. They are just more tolerant of less than ideal conditions.

Of course much will depend on what types of corals you intend on keeping.

I was more or less hoping that I could do a good chunk of softies with a 2 bulb, and then do what ever else when I upgrade. Although right now it looks like I'll probably get a Tek 4x54wt Fixture.
